The Good
The 2009 Ford Focus gets a much needed re-focusing in both design and handling and deserves “all-rounder” compliments for its dependability and competitive price.
The Bad
Compared to the Nissan Versa and Honda Civic, the Ford Focus is on the wrong end of style and modernity, despite undergoing minor fashion tweaks that keep the car behind the times and playing catch-up in performance.
The CarGurus View
The 2009 Focus can be summed up as high-tech and low-budget and improved, but not enough to grab many bragging rights. The SES coupe and the luxury SEL sedan are the bright spots in its line-up, although to really compete in the gung-ho field of compact cars, the Focus needs more to shout about. Read full review.
